Medicare Patients
If you have Medicare as your primary insurance and have been diagnosed with Type I or Type II diabetes, Medicare may cover 80 percent of the cost of your testing supplies. These supplies include a
glucose meter, test strips, lancets, lancing device, batteries for your meter and also impotence devices.
*Please note that Medicare does not currently cover syringes. Medicare will cover insulin
only if it is being infused through an insulin pump.
If you have a Medicare supplement, you may qualify to receive your supplies at little or no cost.
You will only be responsible for your co-pay and deductible, if any.
CDS will ship a 90-day order of testing supplies and will obtain all the necessary paperwork
required by Medicare, including your physician’s order. We will complete and file all insurance claims for you.
